Pruning

Pruning trees can help prolong the health, vitality, and vigor of your tree.

Here at Eco Tree Care we offer a wide range of different types of pruning to suit all your tree needs. Whether you are looking to have your tree looking more symmetrical, wanting to have all the dead branches and limbs removed or looking to have the lower branches removed. We can do it all. Here is a list of some of the different types of pruning that we offer:

Dead Wooding – Removal of any dead, dying, diseased, weakly attached or low vigor branches from the crown of the tree

Vista Pruning - of trees to create a pleasing view, whether through a series of trees, or over a serious of trees

Structural Pruning - aims to develop the strong tree structure. Structural pruning
selectively favors a single, dominant leader by suppressing competing leaders using reduction cuts

Canopy Reduction - reduces the size of a tree, often for utility line clearance. Reducing a tree’s height or spread is best accomplished by pruning back the leaders and branch terminals to secondary branches that are large enough to assume the terminal roles (at least one-third the diameter of the cut stem). Compared to topping, reduction helps
maintain the form and structural integrity of the tree.

Clearance Pruning - removes growth that may infringe on these structures and areas such as roads, sidewalks, driveways, and parks

Fruit Tree Pruning - The idea is to reduce overall canopy dimension to keep proper fruit tree form and improve trees ability to support the load of fruit during the growing season.
