Meet Our Team

John officially registered Eco Tree Care as a company in October 2011 but his experience dates back to his childhood walking in the footsteps of his father as he watched him build up a small family run tree service, which since then has been absorbed by Eco Tree Care. 

He has been an ISA and Ontario certified arborist for over 10 years as well as an ISA tree risk assessor. At the beginning of his career his passion lied deeply within his climbing ability which led him to compete in the Ontario tree climbing competitions and become well known within the industry. He also has had the privilege to sit on the board of directors for the Ontario Commercial Arborist Association (OCAA)

After attending trade school and having his eyes opened up to the true meaning of an arborist his passion pivoted/ expanded to the preservation of trees and ultimately leading to the brand Eco Tree Care. Take a good look at the Eco Tree Care’s logo and you’ll notice that the canopy of the tree is the same width as the globe which to us represents expanding the canopy cover wherever possible. 

Outside of the tree industry specifically he is extremely passionate about helping people get to their full potential through providing a fulfilling career that individuals can be proud of as well as retire from. That is why early on into business ownership he pursued retirement plans as well as benefits for all of his full time employees. 

As owner of Eco Tree Care he believes that if he invests and takes care of his team, that they will go above and beyond for our client and this has been proven to be true with our glowing review, as well as, our loyal clients.

Although she has only been part of Eco since 2020, she has been around the family business since their father started the original company in the 90s. Michelle is John’s sister. In 2015 Michelle completed the Office Administration Program through St. Lawrence College here in Kingston. Michelle is usually the first person that you will have contact with when you call or email our office regarding a site assessment. She is eager to help and assist you with all your tree needs.

Kieran graduated from the University of Guelph in 2016 obtaining a BA with a specialization in Environmental Geography, he joined Eco Tree Care in 2015. Kieran is an ISA certified arborist and qualified tree risk assessor, and brings a wealth of knowledge and specialized set of skills to the team. Kieran is the Sales Technician and enjoys educating clients on many aspects of arboriculture. In his spare time, Kieran is very passionate about golf and is often found at Inverary Golf and Country Club and is a club champion.

Mike has over 30 years of experience as a trainer and an educator, he is responsible for planning and organizing crew training and continuing education for staff development. Mike is an ISA certified arborist, Professional Chainsaw/Cable Skidder Operator Approved Trainer, Automotive Technician (310S) and a Truck and Coach Technician (310T). He enjoys many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, boating and camping, and of course being around trees.

Wade is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Technology Program at St Lawrence College, 2010. Wade started with Eco Tree Care in 2016 and has been Shop Manager at Eco Tree Care since 2018. He is responsible for all mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on Eco Tree Care fleet vehicles and equipment. Most summer weekends Wade is competing in the Super Pro Bracket racing series at Luskville Dragway, Quebec.
